Charlotte NC – Huge support from the local wakeboarding community helped Lake Wylie start-up SouthTown Watersports make a big splash at the recent Skier’s Choice Dealer Meeting in Knoxville, Tennessee.  SouthTown took home three awards: the 2010 #5 Supra Dealer in the World, #5 Skier’s Choice Dealer in the World for Moomba & Supra combined, and the Rookie of the Year Dealer. Skier’s Choice is the manufacturer of Supra and Moomba performance inboard wakeboard and waterski towboats.

SouthTown Watersports, which opened in January, 2010, quickly gained speed as  Charlotte’s premier wakeboarding center. SouthTown’s pro shop, STR Wake, and online site, www.strwake.com, sell the area’s largest selection of wakeboards, bindings, and accessories, and have extended the shop’s customer reach far beyond Piedmont North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.
